  1. International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA-Aleppo-Syria
    one of the 16 centers strategically located all over the world and supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). With its main research station and offices based in Aleppo, Syria, ICARDA works through a network of partnerships with national, regional and international institutions, universities, non-governmental organizations and ministries in the developing world; and with advanced research institutes in industrialized countries.

    The website www.arc-egypt.org of the Egyptian Department of Biological Control (DBC), Plant Protection Research Institute (PPRI), Agricultural Research Center (ARC), Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), Cairo, Egypt.
    DBC is one of the oldest Biological Control Departments not only in Egypt but also in Africa and Middle and Far East. It was established in 1927 but started its activities in late nineteen’s Century. The website reveals introduction to the Department, brief historical view on the activities, staff members (names and specialization) and ongoing projects and activities.
    DBC is consisted of more than 62 staff members, mostly researchers. They are responsible to carry out most of the applied biological control activities in the country. We are ready to cooperate with interested individuals and institutions.

  3. Web-based Information System for Agricultural Research for Development
    WISARD (Web-based Information System for Agricultural Research for Development) is an information system focusing on organisations, projects, project outputs and technologies in the field of agricultural and rural development and natural resources management.
    It addresses questions related to 'Who is doing what, where, when and how?' and is an initiative shared with various national and international stakeholders. It has a user-friendly search interface developed in cooperation with a broad group of end-users and it enables identifying:
    • Projects on ARD that are being, or have been conducted around the world
    • Institutions focused on the same area of research
    • Persons (experts) involved in projects, institutions and project outputs
    • Outputs that contain relevant research information

  4. International Plant Genetic Resources Institute
    The International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI) is one of the Future Harvest Centres of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research. IPGRI's headquarters are in Rome, Italy, and the institute has staff in another 20 countries worldwide. IPGRI’s mandate is to advance the conservation and use of genetic diversity for the well-being of present and future generations. Through its Associate Expert programme, IPGRI gives promising professionals in their early careers invaluable on-the-job training under the guidance of established scientists in the field of genetic resources.
